After the official announcement of Amazon Prime's "fallout" tv show, I was inspired to work on a couple of my own personal favorites from the franchise.
Starting with the Ripper, I wanted to make an accurate model from scratch using fusion 360 and working to develop my skills within the program. My goals for this project were to have a full model that would be assembled as an end product with housing sufficient enough for a motor, battery, and possibly a vaporizer for a smoke effect.

The initial model was made to be 18" in length, and after printing a prototype version of the red cannister, it was obvious that this scale I had chosen (although technically accurate) would not give the same sense of proportion, weight, and terror in the final model that I had wanted to provide.
The scaling was bumped up to a 22" overall length, and while the components are still small on this model, It still feels like a handheld weapon straight from the franchise and can be assembled entirely with m3-m4 machine screws.
